Sabbatical and other news

Hello everyone!

I am back from my unintentional sabbatical. Let’s start at the beginning, shall we?

Eli came to visit me back in March. We had a fabulous time and ran around a LOT, which equals happiness in 2-year-old terms, except then Eli turned 3, but it was still fun. We even tried to sleep in the same bed.

Unfortunately for us, we couldn’t stop giggling and we were torn apart by the adults.

Then in April, I went down to visit Eli in Masschusetts with just Mommy. I think she forgot Daddy (a little worrisome). Anyway, we had a blast, yet again. He lives right next to a park! His Mommy introduced me to the art of cookie decorating and didn’t even mind when I just skipped the cookie and ate the decorations. Awesome!

I learned how to take pictures with Mommy’s camera and created the following masterpieces.

In April and May, we went to a lot of other people’s houses and looked around and then left. I found this to be a strange thing to do after supper but I sort of got used to it except the time that I nearly died because Mommy wouldn’t let me play with some other kid’s legos. What? I’m sure he wouldn’t have cared.

Then, in July, that glorious thing happened that seems to happen every six months or so: I got lots and lots of presents! This time it was because I had my third birthday on July 11th. I had a lovely little bash in the park with two friends from daycare. There were bubbles, balloons, cupcakes and my Grampy played rickshaw puller – doesn’t get better than that.

Then at the end of July, something very alarming happened. Something I can barely talk about, so distraught was I. We packed all of our stuff into boxes and moved to a new house. This “new house” had been much hyped up beforehand but I thought we were going to see a new house after supper, not FOREVER! Oh my dear was I unhappy. Even though I told Mommy that the old house was just fine, and that I was happy there, we didn’t go back. Well, since then the new house has slowly grown on me. My room is bigger and I got a new rug and a new bigger bed again and we have a yard now, which is handy when you are inspired to drench your Daddy with water from a hose. Oh, and I have a hose too!

In August this year, I did not, however,  rock it in the Rockies like I did last year and the year before. I will be going there at Christmas to meet my new and first cousin, Daxton, who was born in July too. Do you think he’ll be up for some legos by then?
