Happy Easter Everyone!
I’ve heard that Easter has something to do with candy, like a lot of other holidays, but I have yet to see any of this candy. I think I’ll call Eli and see what can be done about this.
Today is Mommy’s cousin Lori’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Lori! I got to meet her once at my Nana and Grampy’s house when I was just a wee baby, not the hunky toddler that I am now. Here’s a picture of us from back then:
Lori is Ava’s Mommy. Some of you might remember that I had a bath with my little cousin Ava when I was there too.
Tomorrow is my Uncle Todd‘s birthday! I don’t know how old he is now but Mommy said it’s a lot and ends in a zero. Happy Birthday, Uncle Todd!
Now on to a more serious topic. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been really, really hungry. It seems that I just eat and eat and am still hungry. Then my boots started to pinch my toes when Mommy and Daddy put them on. The next thing you know, they are putting a new sweatshirt and coat on me this morning.
Mommy said it was really cold and windy out and my sweatshirt doesn’t fit under my winter coat anymore. As a matter of fact, my winter coat barely fits over a t-shirt. Anyway, maybe wearing my Spring coat will make Spring come. Seriously, people, just look at my car recently:
How’s a boy supposed to get to the pet store at the mall like that?
Hi Sam! You are really growing up so fast. Trust me, you will find out where the candy is on Easter Morning. Enjoy it. Boy do I feel old now –my oldest son is a grandfather, so that makes me a Great Grandmother of the cutest little redheaded girl named Elizabeth Lyn but we call her Elly. She was born Feb 7th and she is still a tiny little girl. And let me think, if I am not mistaken Lori is 37 today and Uncle Todd will be 30 tomorrow. Let me tell you something I bet your Uncle Todd might be embarrassed for you to know, but the first time I met him he was 9 years old and had spent a week at Cub Scout Camp and it had rained a lot all week. They took part in a parade in a little town in Massachusetts close to where your Nana and Grampy live. Back then they had “sweat socks” that were white except for one colored stripe at the top. Your Uncle Todd took part in the parade with one sock that had a red stripe and the other sock had a different color. I will never forget that and when I think he now flies those big airplanes and is 30 years old, it is hard to believe. Maybe you should call him Uncle Socks. Have fun and keep up with your yoga, you do good! Step Great Grandma Sharon
CANDY? Dude. My folks have been keeping a BIG secret from me. They just keep talking about bunnies and eggs. There ain’t been no talk about no candy.
I’m gonna have to have me a little sittin’ down with them, it seems…
(I like the new threads, my friend.)
